The Quiet Riot movie by Lorraine Chambers (Newport Beach, California)
The World Premiere of The Quiet Riot at the 2014 Newport Beach Film Festival has been an extremely personal journey of the rise, fall and resurrection of the 80s metal band Quiet Riot to the eyes of drummer and band manager Frankie Banali. In 2007, Frankie Bonelli’s career took a major sideswipe with his lead singer Kevin DuBrow suddenly died of a drug overdose. After several years of mourning his best friend, Banali sets out to make a new life himself, his daughter, and the band by trying to fill the void left by Kevin and get the band back together one more time.
The 109 minutes character driven documentary goes beyond the guts and glory of the common ‘getting the band back together’ tale. WELL NOW YOU’RE HERE, THERE’S NO WAY BACK movie reveals an unforgettable man who uses ambition, and adaptability, relentlessness determination and principle to navigate through a business, and a series of obstacles that are attempting to control his fate.
