Ratings Breakdown:
ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise” topped the evening, with a 3.7 rating/6 share from 8-10 p.m. Comparably, that bested competing “American Ninja Warrior” on NBC (#2: 3.2/ 5) by 16 percent, and it led the network to Monday overnight victory (despite recent entry “The Proposal” slipping to a third-place 1.9/ 3 at 10 p.m.). Comparably, “The Proposal” trailed “Elementary” on CBS (#1: 2.5/ 5) by 24 percent.

In the specials department on CBS was “Carpool Karaoke”: When Corden Get McCartney,” which scored a respectable 3.1/ 6 in the 8 p.m. hour.

Netflix Announces “Made in Mexico”
Netflix has announced the arrival of their first Mexican reality series, “Made in Mexico,” which follows the lives of nine well-to-do socialites, revealing the flawed lives of the seemingly perfect elite. The logline: They are passionate, unapologetically real, fashionable and sophisticated, and know how to set trends in one of the world’s most culturally vibrant cities, where family name is your bond and legacy is everything.

“Made in Mexico” is set to debut globally on September 28 on Netflix.

Niecy Nash to Host and Executive Produce Late Night Pilot, “Naked With Niecy Nash”
TNT has ordered a pilot for “Naked With Niecy Nash,” which is described as a unique show with a late-night feel hosted and executive produced by the star of “Claws” and author of the best-selling book “It’s Hard to Fight Naked.” The logline: Nash, never afraid to get real and tell it like it is, will serve up a tall glass of humor, advice, and one-of-a-kind “Niecy-isms” on all things love, sex, romance and relationships with everyday people. The pilot will tap Niecy’s strengths to inspire, empower and make viewers laugh out loud. Nothing is off limits and no topic will be out-of-reach.

“Naked with Niecy Nash” is a co-production between Turner’s Studio T and Telepictures, a division of Warner Bros. Unscripted & Alternative Television.  The series is also produced by Nash’s production company, Chocolate Chick.


Netflix Greenlights “GLOW” for Season Three
Netflix has renewed its female wrestling comedy “GLOW” for a 10-episode third season. The news comes on the heels of the series snagging 10 Emmy nominations for the first season, including Best Comedy.

Set in Los Angeles in 1985, “GLOW” follows Ruth Wilder (ALison Brie), a struggling actress, as she auditions along with many other women in a fledgling professional wrestling promotion called the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW). She is at odds with GLOW’s director Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron) due to her tendency to overact. When Ruth’s former best friend, retired soap opera actress Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin), arrives at the ring, their confrontation promises to either make or break the show.

Netflix has not confirmed when the third season of “GLOW” will officially begin.

UP TV Renews Three Series for Second Seasons

Family-themed network UPtv, which celebrates uplifting stories about families experiencing life’s biggest moments, announced second season renewals for baby themed “Expecting” and two series in the wedding space — “Our Wedding Story” and “Crazy Beautiful Weddings.” “Our Wedding Story” and “Crazy Beautiful Weddings” are currently airing Fridays at 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ET, respectively, with the season one finales slated for Aug. 31.

The loglines: “Expecting” is the first show that asks couples to turn the lens on themselves, to give the audience a peek into one of life’s most exciting and personal journeys – welcoming a child. No producers. No camera crews. With unprecedented intimacy, viewers witness the highs and lows culminating in one of life’s biggest moments.

“Crazy Beautiful Weddings” follows wedding planner extraordinaire Lynzie Kent as she takes inspiration from a couple’s love story and creates unique and jaw-dropping celebrations. And in “Our Wedding Story,” viewers get to live each couple’s love story – from the moment they met to the walk down the aisle. For casting information, click here


Winners at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards Announced 
MTV announced the winners of the 2018 Video Music Awards (VMAs) during a 160-minute ceremony televised on MTV as well as on several other Viacom-owned cable networks from Radio City Music Hall in New York City last night. Cardi B  winner of three VMAs, including Best New Artist, kicked off the ceremony cradling what initially appeared as her newborn baby but was actually a Moon Person award. Nickelodeon Announces Multi-City “Double Dare” Tour
Nickelodeon, in partnership with Red Tail Productions, LLC, has announced “Nickelodeon’s Double Dare Live,” a multi-city live stage tour inspired by “Double Dare.” Featuring original host Marc Summers and his sidekick Robin Russo, the live stage show will debut in Fayetteville, NC, on October 30 and will tour North America through November.  Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, August 24 at 10:00 a.m.  For more information, click here
