It starred Linda Lavin and Patricia Heaton(pre-“Everybody Loves Raymond”)…Celebrity Birthdays: “Batman” star Burt Ward is 73; U.S. President George W. Bush is 72; “Rocky”: star Sylvester Stallone is also 72; Oscar, Emmy and Tony Award winner Geoffrey Rush is 67; Rapper 50 Cent is 43; “Sister, Sister” twins Tia and Tamera Mowry are 40; Comedian Kevin Hart is 39.

Both George O’Hanlon (the voice of George Jetson) and Mel Blanc (Mr. Spacely) died during the production of “The Jetsons: The Movie,” which was dedicated to both their memories.

Ratings Breakdown:
The first live eviction on “Big Brother” led CBS to Thursday overnight victory, with the summer reality staple at a dominant 3.4 rating.6 share in households from 9-10 p.m. Comparably, that was one par with one week earlier, and that overnight performance translated into 5.14 million viewers (#12 overall for the week) and a 1.4 rating/6 share in adults 18-49 (tied for #3 overall), based on the Live+Same Day data.

NEW PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENTS

Netflix Orders Two Anime Series and Renews “Aggretsuko”
Netflix has ordered two anime series – “Ultraman” and “Kengan Ashura.” “Ultraman,” which will be available for streaming this spring, is described as an action drama centered on a man possessing the spirit and DNA of the legendary hero Ultraman as he wears a metallic ultra suit and fights against evil. Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki direct the series from Production I.G and Sola Digital.

“Kengan Ashura,” from Larx Entertainment, follows Kazuo Yamashita is an ordinary 56-year-old man who one day is summoned by the chairman of his company and hired as a gladiator. He learns that these hired gladiators engage in battles called Kengan Matches to protect the corporate rights of the businesses they represent. Kazuo is assigned to battle a mysterious Kengan fighter named Ohma Tokita. Both men join the Kengan Zetsumei Tournament with the hope of winning the spot as chairman of the Kengan Organization.

Set for a 2019 launch, “Kengan Ashura” is directed by Seiji Kishi and written by Makoto Uezo.

Netflix, additionally, has renewed anime series “Aggretsuko” for a second season.The series follows 25-year-old red panda Retsuko, who works an oppressive office job by day and vents her frustrations through death metal karaoke at night. The series examines micro-aggressions, sexism, and the pressures society puts on people to conform to a specific “good” person image.

Nickelodeon Orders Animated “Los Casagrandes”
Nickelodeon has ordered 20 episodes of a spin-off of animated series “The Loud House” tentatively called “Los Casagrandes.” The order comes on the heels of the season three premiere of “The Loud House.”

“Los Casagrandes” follows Lincoln Loud’s friend Ronnie Anne and her extended family, the Casagrandes, living together in the big city and exploring the endless possibilities urban life has to offer. The series is expected in 2019.

Season eight of USA drama “Suits” will open on Wednesday, July 18 at 9 p.m. ET. “Suits” centers on a fast-paced Manhattan corporate law firm led by Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), his intelligent but delicate partner, Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), and secretary-turned-COO Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty).
