Garden Grove, California (The Hollywood Times), August 7, 2017 – “I’m beside myself to think my favorite all-time band (Sublime With Rome) is going to play right here at Village Green Park! This festival will put Garden Grove on the map and go a long way towards helping us reimagine the city as a more vibrant and desirable place to live, work, and play within Orange County.” Steve Jones, Mayor of Garden Grove commented.
The first annual KLOS High & Mighty Festival was this past weekend (August 5 & 6) at Village Green Park in downtown Garden Grove.
High & Mighty Festival was a mighty good little festival with the perfect amount of everything. There was a good selection of food items from food trucks to vendor booths. The food lines actually moves quickly and speaking of lines, I almost never had to wait for a restroom due to the amount of portable bathrooms available! The beer garden was a great addition to the festival with over 20 breweries to choose from and with every stand having four beers to choose from.
For any connoisseur of beer, it was a treat in its own on top of fantastic music with great live performances form bands like The Dirty Heads and Sublime with Rome. There were also a couple of rap artist like Murs and King Lil G.
The brainchild of Sublime With Rome and Dirty Heads, the two-day event is produced by premier music festival production company Synergy Global Entertainment (SGE), Mike “Cheez” Brown, Bill Hardie, and respected Orange County craft beer festival producer Brew Ha Ha Productions. KLOS Presents High & Mighty Festival will feature two stages of music performances from top reggae, roots, hip-hop, and rock artists, plus unlimited craft beer tasting (1:00 — 4:00 PM) lifestyle vendors, carnival rides and games.
High & Mighty was a full festival experience with carnival rides, vendor village and more!
The bands were all great, but I have to say The Dirty Heads were my all-time favorite. Nothing like having great music and great tasting beer to go along with it.
For those 21 and up, the event featured complimentary beer tastings from over 100 craft beers from some of the finest breweries in Southern California and beyond. Tasty selections of various styles such as Pale Ales, IPA’s, Stouts, Heffe Wiezens, Saisons and more! The lines actually moved quickly and beer was flowing.
Cameron Collins, Co-Founder & Director of Events at Brew Ha Ha Productions says, “If you’re going to do something… do it right! This event could not be more right for the community and breweries! Everyone is excited to be part of such a great event that showcases so much of Southern California summertime culture.
