Ratings Breakdown:
Led by perennial summer sensation “America’s Got Talent,” NBC beat the four competing networks combined in the overnight households. The competition averaged a healthy 6.9 rating/13 share from 8-10 p.m., which was 130 percent above the second highest rated show of the evening, lead-out “Bring the Funny” (#1: 3.0/ 6) at 10 p.m. “Bring the Funny,” which owes any audience it has to “AGT,” bested competing (and already renewed) “Blood & Treasure” on CBS (#2: 2.1/ 4) by 43 percent.
In the specials department was “USA Champions: The Story of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup” on Fox at a 0.9/ 2 in the overnight households at 9 p.m., which finished a distant fourth in the hour.
