Peter Boyle was the only regular cast member on “Everybody Loves Raymond” not to win an Emmy Award. But Boyle did take home an Emmy in 1996 for a guest appearance on Fox’s “The X-Files.”

Amazon Renews “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” for Season 4
Amazon has greenlit critically acclaimed comedy “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” for a fourth season. The third season premiered Friday, Dec. 6 on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” received two Golden Globe nominations this week, for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy, and for star Rachel Brosnahan for Best Performance by an Actress in a Series, Musical or Comedy.
In season three of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” Midge and Susie (Alex Borstein) discover that life on tour with Shy (Leroy McClain) is glamorous but humbling, and they learn a lesson about show business they’ll never forget. Joel (Michael Zegen) struggles to support Midge while pursuing his own dreams, Abe (Tony Shalhoub)embraces a new mission and Rose learns she has talents of her own.
“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”: is the winner of sixteen Emmy Awards, to-date, including Outstanding Comedy series, three Golden Globes including Best TV Series – Comedy, five Critics’ Choice Awards including Best Comedy Series, two PGA Awards, a WGA Award, and a Peabody Award.
“Brockmire” to End with Season 4 on IFC
IFC has announced that its comedy “Brockmire,” starring Hank Azaria and Amanda Peet, will end with its previously announced fourth season. The final season will wrap up with eight episodes and launch at a date to be determined in March.
“Brockmire” follows “famed” Major League Baseball announcer Jim Brockmire (Azaria) who suffers a public breakdown after discovering his wife’s (Katie Finneran) infidelity as he attempts to rebuild his career as the broadcast voice for an underdog minor league baseball team.
Walt Disney Television Renews Daytime Talker Tamron Hall for Season 2
Walt Disney Television has greenlit the nationally syndicated daytime talk show “Tamron Hall” for a second season, with renewals (to-date) in over 80 percent of the country for 2020-21. The ABC Owned stations carrying “Tamron Hall” are WABC-TV New York, KABC-TV Los Angeles, WPVI-TV Philadelphia, KGO-TV San Francisco, KTRK-TV Houston, WTVD-TV Raleigh-Durham and KFSN-TV Fresno. Hearst Television stations carrying “Tamron Hall” include WCVB-TV Boston, WMOR-TV Tampa, WESH-TV Orlando, KCRA-TV Sacramento, WTAE-TV Pittsburgh, WBAL-TV Baltimore, KMBC-TV Kansas City, WLWT-TV Cincinnati, WISN-TV Milwaukee, and WPBF-TV West Palm Beach, among many others.
In addition to hosting this strip, Tamron Hall hosts “Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall” on Investigation Discovery. “Tamron Hall” is produced by Walt Disney Television and is distributed in national syndication by Walt Disney Direct-to-Consumer and International, the global content sales and distribution segment of The Walt Disney Company. Bill Geddie and Tamron Hall are the executive producers. Talia Parkinson-Jones is the co-executive producer.
HGTV Renews “Flop or Flop”
Home renovation series, “Flip or Flop,” starring business partners Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa as they flip houses for profit in Southern California, has received a pick up order for a new season of fresh episodes. The logline: During the next season of “Flip or Flop,” cameras will continue to follow the formerly married real estate and house-flipping experts as they navigate both the expected and surprising challenges of co-parenting and running a successful business. And, even more dilapidated houses will be transformed into beautifully renovated homes that can be flipped for a good return on investment.
The former husband and wife team also are featured in their own solo series on HGTV. The sophomore season of “Christina on the Coast premieres Thursday, Jan. 2, at 9 p.m. ET/PT and spotlights Christina’s life with new husband, Ant Anstead. In the new season, the couple welcomes a baby boy into their blended family and Christina focuses on her expanded design business. And, in early 2020, Tarek will star in a new original series, “Flipping 101 w/ Tarek El Moussa,” that follows him as he mentors real estate novices who want to learn the secrets of a successful flip.
Robert Kirkman to Launch Comic Book Series “Fire Power” in May
Robert Kirkman (“The Walking Dead“) is teaming with artist Chris Samnee (“Daredevil”) colorist Matt Wilson (“Paper Girls,” “The Wicked + The Divine”), and letterer Rus Wooton (“The Walking Dea”) for an all-new comic book called “Fire Power.” It launched from Image/Skybound in May 2020.
The logline: Owen Johnson’s journey to China to learn about his birth parents eventually leads him to a mysterious Shaolin Temple. The students there study to rediscover the Fire Power, the lost art of throwing fireballs. A power they claim will be needed soon to save the world. Will Owen Johnson be the first person in a thousand years to wield the Fire Power?
This is the first new project from Kirkman since the conclusion to mega-hit “The Walking Dead.”

The ninth season of “Undercover Boss” on CBS will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. ET. The companies featured in the first four episodes will be “Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar,” “Anytime Fitness,” “Dippin’ Dots” and “Clean Harbors”
HBO drama “The Outsider,” based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name, will premiere on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 9 p.m. ET with two back-to-back episodes. The series follows police detective Ralph Anderson (Ben Mendelsohn), as he sets out to investigate the mutilated body of 11-year-old Frankie Peterson found in the Georgia woods. The mysterious circumstances surrounding this horrifying crime leads Ralph, still grieving the recent death of his own son, to bring in unorthodox private investigator Holly Gibney (Cynthia Erivo), whose uncanny abilities he hopes will help explain the unexplainable.
USA will launch new drama “Briarpatch,“ starring Rosario Dawson, on Thursday, February 6, 2020. The series follows Allegra Dill (Dawson), as a no-nonsense professional who returns to her quirky hometown to solve her sister’s murder. The season celebrates the beloved genres represented by Ross Thomas’ book — a stylish blend of crime and pulp fiction — while updating his sense of fun, danger and place for a new generation. “Briarpatch” airs following “The Sinner” at 9 p.m. ET, which returns for a new 8-episode season that evening.
