Beverly Hills, Calif. – July 28, 2018 – Today at the Television Critics Association (TCA) Summer 2018 Press Tour, Starz released exclusive footage of platinum-selling, Grammy®-award and Pulitzer Prize Kendrick Lamar’s interview with “Power” creator Courtney A. Kemp, along with comments from Kemp and “Power” executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson about his upcoming guest appearance.
“Kendrick’s piece, this is going to be big. People are going to look at him and be really surprised with his performance in the show, and I’m excited for that,” said executive producer and star, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. “They’re going to talk about his performance.”

The series, which is currently ranked as the highest rated premium cable series of the summer in adults 18-49* (0.5), tied with “Westworld,” is turning up the heat this Sunday, with a guest appearance by Kendrick Lamar in the episode titled “Happy Birthday.”
One of the rare series to continually grow its audience in a fifth season, “Power”’s premiere episode has amassed 20% more multiplatform views than the Season 4 premiere and is on track to become the most viewed episode of the series. Additionally, in its first three episodes, “Power” is up 12% in average audience across multiple platforms and remains the #1 series in premium cable with African American in households** and average audience. On the STARZ app, season five has had 90% more customer streams than in 2017.
